This essential oil is considered by many to be the most effective natural mold killer available. Since it is anti-bacterial, antifungal and safe for humans, many bear the high costs of this product for their mold problem.
Before you start any mold removal project, be sure to pick up protective gear and equipment in order to avoid any mold related health problems.
Instructions
- Start by mixing a ratio of 1 tea spoon tea tree oil to 1 cup of water.
- Spray the tea tree oil solution directly onto the moldy surface. DO NOT spray this solution onto a cloth or sponge and wipe the area. This will send mold spores airborne allowing them to move throughout your home.
- After allowing the tea tree oil solution to sit for a brief minute, wipe the moldy area clean. Rinsing afterwards is not necessary. In fact, leaving the tea tree oil solution residue behind can help to prevent future mold growth.
TIP: To remove the smell of tea tree oil quicker, ventilate the room by opening a window or door. This allows fresh air in.
